The second part of the Base22 sponsored Women Who Code series in Monterrey was held this Tuesday, August 13, at WeWork Lázaro Cárdenas. Nía Cortés, UI Designer at Base22 and also director of the local chapter of Women Who Code, conducted a workshop with a technical approach on presentation design for users of Powerpoint, Google Slides, and open-source software.
Through the workshop, Nía presented the five key visual components of a presentation or deck: colors, typography, whitespace, balance and pictures. For each component, she shared free and open-source online tools that can help entrepreneurs or professionals accomplish better design with their presentations.
This month Base22 and Women Who Code Monterrey partnered up for a short series of professional coaching events in the city. For information on the first part of the series, see our last week post on Priscila Mendoza's conference on information design for presentations.
