Challenge
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is an award-winning regional planning agency for the northeastern Illinois counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will. CMAP needed a Liferay web development team for system support activities, web design and development support activities, major back-end software development, and content authoring support.
Solution
The Base22 team supported CMAP with three work products: 1) CMAP’s Website, 2) “On To 2050” Website, and 3) the Contact Manager Application. As Liferay SMEs, the Base22 provided support during the Digital Experience Platform upgrade, helped to develop front-end components and templates according to the predefined CMAP’s website design, and designed and implemented a Contact Manager Application. As part of the engagement, Base22 created a comprehensive and robust manual for a knowledge transfer and training strategy.
CMAP’s “On To 2050” website has been recognized in two major digital competitions: the Communicator Awards and the Horizon Interactive Awards.
