Honda Research Institute USA: a front door for students, professors and partners, with datasets on request

A graduate student deciding where to apply, a professor looking for an industry partner, a researcher who needs a driving dataset: usa.honda-ri.com is where they meet Honda Research Institute USA. We designed and built the site in 2014–2015, moved it to Liferay in 2018, redesigned it in 2021, and replaced the email process for requesting HRI’s datasets with an online request and download. We still run it in 2026.

InverCap Afore: a retirement site for people who’d rather ask in person
Many of InverCap’s clients would rather ask at a branch than go online, and in 2019 its website hadn’t changed since 2014. We listened to branch staff, promoters and clients, turned InverCap’s digital ideas into a prioritized roadmap, and rebuilt the public site and the Mi Cuenta account portal mobile-first and easy to read. We have cared for it every year since. InverCap placed 2nd in CONSAR’s +MAS AFORE service index in 2020 and 2021.

SigmaNet: one intranet for Sigma’s people in Mexico, Europe and the US, built once and growing since 2019
Sigma’s people make and deliver food in plants, distribution centers and offices across the Americas and Europe, and its in-house intranet could not grow with them. In 2019 we built SigmaNet for Mexico from reusable components, so each employee sees the news for their country, company and site. The same foundation reached Europe in 2020 and the US in 2021, and we have kept extending and supporting it every year since.

UPSers: fourteen years on the portal UPS drivers and package handlers check from their phones
Most of the people UPSers serves drive a package car or work a hub, without a desk computer or a company email, and many of them read it in a language other than English. From 2009 to 2023 we kept UPS’s global employee portal working for them: the move to a responsive platform, content in 17 languages, messages from each employee’s own center, and in 2019 research with 611 employees that set the vision for what comes next.
