Preparing the employee portal for a global approach
Challenge
Sigma Alimentos, a food processing company with operations in America and Europe, owned an intranet that was developed in-house. However, such intranet was not prepared to scale. Sigma hired Base22 to design and develop a new employee portal with reusable components and assets in order to support the implementation and expansion of the solution to other countries.
Solution
The Base22 team designed and implemented a new employee portal for Mexico using the Base22 Portal Blueprint, a proven framework for creating an improved user experience. The implementation patterns used by Base22 made it much easier for authors to create, update and manage content on the portal, improving the overall authoring experience. The components and assets for this solution will be leveraged in future implementations of the intranet.
