Base22 is a consulting and systems integration firm with team members in the US, Canada and Mexico. We design, implement and support enterprise portal, web content management and social business solutions.

Base22 brings together artists, designers, engineers, and architects, to design and deliver insightful and creative enterprise web solutions. Combining the talent and creativity of a web design agency, with the experience and methodology of a consulting firm, we deliver enterprise web solutions with style and usability that exceed expectations.

History

Our leadership team started working together in 1999 at a web design firm called Studio Interactive. Studio Interactive was acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (PwCC). The acquisition of Studio Interactive gave PwCC a much-needed boost in their web design and user experience offerings .

In 2002, we joined IBM as a result of their acquisition of PwCC. For the next five years we worked for IBM Global Business Services on large, global portal and web content management solutions bringing our heritage as a design agency to all of our portal and content management implementations.

In 2007 Cody Burleson, our co-founder, left IBM and formed the Burleson Technology Group with Karlisa Burleson. Ben Shoemate and Rafael Trujillo soon joined Cody and Karlisa. Shortly thereafter, the Burleson Technology Group merged with Dinasis, a professional services firm headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico.

In 2010, the Burleson Technology Group was renamed Base22. At that time, we adopted our current tag line – Enterprise Web Evolution. Everyday the evolution continues. Given our design heritage, Base22 will remain at the intersection of strategy, art and technology.

Today, we are an IBM Premier Business Partner with resources in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Phoenix and Toronto. We have a world class service delivery center in Monterrey, Mexico. We serve some of the world's most recognizable brands and we have been able to attract and retain some of the very best consulting and technical professionals in our industry.

Internal approval and design review workflows help us maintain the quality and the integrity of our design. The objectives we strive for include: 

Pixel perfect design
If the code we deliver affects a single pixel on the screen, we have a designer involved.

System architecture reviews
Anything that potentially impacts stability or performance is reviewed by a senior portal architect.

Information architecture reviews
Changes, even improvements to the functionality of the site, go through a design and usability review and potential issues are brought to the client’s attention.
