Who should apply?

We are looking for someone with the following skills, passions and proven ability. While we may also occasionally accept someone with awesome potential, please note that at this time, we pay slightly less for awesome potential than we do for proven ability – we hope you understand. Skills you’ll need:

• Web Design - Can you develop a visual design a client will love? Can you work with creative directors, marketing and communication managers, executives,  and other designers and developers to polish your design into a world-class site? Can you listen carefully to feedback and then humbly and respectfully answer questions with concise, sincere explanations about color-theory, usability, and funny but relevant antidotes? Do you feel like it’s your mission in life create interfaces that wow users?
• Web development – Can slice a dice a Photoshop design into valid, pixel perfect HTML, CSS and JavaScript? Code that shows a deep respect and understanding of web standards, code re-use, and best practices? Code that sings? Code like poetry? Code that’s  clean and browser compliant? 4r3 (_) 1337 h4x0r? Really? Great.
• Consulting and communication skills – Are you the very definition of class and professionalism? Can you effectively and accurately communicate project status, provide estimates, and explain what you have done, need to do, and need the client to do to achieve success? Are you so self-disciplined  that you to compulsively document everything regardless of if any one asked for it or not? Do you assume that future historians will want a record of how your masterpiece was constructed? Excellent.
• Work Ethic – Do you have the ability to work productively from home or on the road? To travel and work on-site anywhere in the world for up to 6 months at a time if necessary? Well, usually,  if we travel it’s only  Mondays through Thursday and work Fridays at home…unless it’s international then we sometimes do 2 weeks there, 2 weeks at home or something like that, it depends on the client really… but you get the idea – travel is required sometimes to do an awesome job.
